TL;DR: On Sunday, August 27, approximately 3,000 movie theaters across the country — like AMC Theaters, Regal Movies, Alamo Drafthouse, and Angelika Film Center — will offer $4 tickets in honor of the second-ever National Cinema Day. Find a screening near you by visiting the official National Cinema Day site.

Cinema buffs rejoice (and clear your calendar for this upcoming Sunday): August 27 will mark the second-ever National Cinema Day. On this special day, everyone is treated to $4 movie tickets at participating U.S. theaters. This is not a drill.

Plus, some theaters are even throwing in special promos on their concessions. AMC Theaters, for instance, will offer $5 small popcorn and drink combos (tax not included) all day. Regal is one-upping its competitor with a small popcorn + drink combo option that will cost $4.

To find out which movie theaters near you are honoring National Cinema Day, check out the National Cinema Day site or Fandango.

With this deal, you can finally experience the magic of Margot Robbie in Barbie; find a reason to sit through three hours of Oppenheimer; decide for yourself whether Strays merited its low Rotten Tomatoes rating of 55%; educate yourself about the Yom Kippur War in Golda; and so much more.
